Independence Day Peru

Independence Day in Peru is celebrated on July 28 and marks the country’s independence from Spanish rule in 1821. It is a national holiday featuring parades, military displays, and cultural events. The following day, July 29th celebrates establishment of the Republic of Perú. Together these two days are called Las Fiestas Patrias and are by far the most important national holidays in Peru.
